The Nagoya Asian Games "Container Village" has topped out.
400 modular units at Garden Wharf completed in 30 days.
On May 2, 2025, the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games Organizing Committee announced the official completion of the athletes' temporary housing complex at Garden Wharf. The 400 container-based modular housing units were manufactured, hoisted, and fully furnished within 30 days. They can accommodate 2,400 athletes and team officials and, together with docked cruise ships, form the "Athletes' Plaza."

Quick Completion
The project utilizes a prefabricated, on-site assembly model. The steel structure frame, insulated walls, and mechanical and electrical systems were completed simultaneously in the factory, with only hoisting and connection required on-site. The overall construction period was cut in half compared to traditional temporary construction. Tournament-grade features
● Earthquake-resistant structure rated 8 degrees, wind-resistant structure rated 12 degrees
● Full heat exchange for fresh air + efficient insulation, maintaining a constant room temperature of 22–26°C
● Private bathroom, smart door lock, Wi-Fi 6, and USB charging
● Rooftop photovoltaic panels are expected to reduce carbon emissions by 32 tons during the tournament
Post-Games Recycling
After the Asian Games, these cabinets will be relocated to the University Town and converted into student housing, continuing to contribute to urban renewal and achieving the sustainable goal of "invest once, reuse multiple times."
